Neurodivergence

Neurodevelopmental Disorders are commonly characterized by challenges in general mental abilities such as reasoning, problem solving, planning, judgment, and/or academic learning. Some commonly seen neurodevelopmental disorders include: ADHD, Autism, or Intellectual development disorder.

Potential Symptoms:

  • Difficulties in social verbal or nonverbal communication

  • Impairment in ability to change communication to match context

  • Challenges in social-emotional reciprocity

  • Difficulty in developing, maintaining and understanding relationships

  • Restricted, repetitive pattern of behavior, interest or activities

  • Inattentive behaviors

    • Difficulty concentrating

    • Challenges with organizing tasks/activities

    • Often struggles with close attention to details/careless mistakes

  • Hyperactive or Impulsive
