Group Therapy

The Power of Collective Healing

  1. Healing doesn’t happen in isolation. The nervous system is wired for connection—group therapy gives you that space to feel seen, mirrored, and held.

  2. Our groups are intentionally small, intimate, and guided by licensed therapists who blend evidence‑based frameworks (like DBT and polyvagal theory) with cultural humility, somatic grounding, and liberation psychology.

  3. Group work is where practice turns into embodiment. You learn to speak boundaries out loud, to sit with discomfort instead of fleeing it, and to regulate your emotions not just in theory, but in real time, in relationship.

  4. Every group at NeuroBloom is a microcosm of the world we’re trying to build—one that’s rooted in accountability, care, and radical self‑compassion.

What Makes Our Groups Different:

  • Liberation‑informed: We understand that healing is political, cultural, and collective.

  • Trauma‑aware: Safety and consent are our first priorities.

  • Neurodivergent‑affirming: We embrace all ways of thinking, feeling, and processing.

  • Community‑rooted: Each group is designed to foster belonging, not perfection.

DBT Skills for Real Life

Focus: Distress tolerance, emotion regulation, interpersonal effectiveness, and mindfulness—taught through a real‑life lens. Learn how to manage emotional storms, reduce impulsivity, and communicate needs clearly.

Format: 8‑week program, 90‑minute weekly sessions
Structure: Interactive teaching, live skills practice, optional homework
Who it’s for: Adults navigating anxiety, CPTSD, ADHD, or intense emotional cycles
Starts: Rolling admission (new cohorts every 2 months)

Why it works: DBT groups provide a framework to help your brain build new pathways of emotional balance. You’ll learn tools for self‑soothing, identifying triggers, and building distress tolerance—skills that improve relationships and day‑to‑day life.

Therapist Note: You do not have to be in crisis to join. This group is perfect if you’re emotionally aware but struggle to stay regulated when life gets overwhelming.

Nervous System Reset: Somatic Skills for Burnout

Focus: Polyvagal‑informed practices, body mapping, pacing, rest rituals, and self‑soothing techniques that help you shift from survival mode into a state of grounded regulation.

Format: 6‑week program, 75‑minute weekly sessions
Structure: Guided somatic exercises, journaling prompts, and nervous system education
Who it’s for: Adults struggling with chronic stress, fatigue, or emotional burnout
Starts: New cohorts every quarter

What you’ll gain:

  • Learn how to listen to your body’s cues instead of ignoring them.

  • Build a toolkit of rest rituals and micro‑resets.

  • Rewire your nervous system toward calm and connection.

Therapist Note: This group is not about productivity—it’s about permission. You’ll walk away knowing what safety feels like in your body and how to return to it on your own.

Liberation and Belonging Circle

Focus: Identity, culture, shame release, values in action, and community care. This group bridges psychology and liberation work, creating space for BIPOC and immigrant clients to unpack internalized oppression, cultural grief, and the complexity of belonging.

Format: 6‑week cohort, 90‑minute weekly sessions
Structure: Dialogue‑based sessions, guided reflection, creative expression
Who it’s for: Adults of color and multicultural clients seeking meaning, healing, and reconnection
Starts: Spring and Fall cohorts only

What you’ll explore:

  • How trauma, culture, and systems intersect in identity formation

  • The weight of perfectionism, guilt, and survival strategies

  • Reclaiming joy, rest, and voice

Therapist Note: This circle is less about “therapy” and more about reclamation. We blend reflective exercises with cultural storytelling, helping you rewrite narratives of shame and isolation into ones of belonging and freedom.
